Shifting the focus

I’ve used this space to talk about my recent diagnosis of ADHD. I hope it’s been informative; I certainly have learned a lot in the past year. I know that many of you reading this blog have been diagnosed, or suspect you may have ADHD. And now you know, you’re not alone!

But now, it’s pattern season, and time to gather my thoughts and creativity to move toward knitting. We just returned from Ocracoke Island on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and images of sand dunes, old fishing huts and wetlands inspire me to create a new collection of mitts and hats, socks and maybe a cowl. Fishermen and their skiffs, grey clouds and piers also are in my mind as I think about what kind of look I want to create next. I designed two pair of fingerless gloves during our week there, and knit them up. At least four more pieces should be added to make a “collection”… launching in, maybe, September…
